If you’re reading this, it’s pretty likely that you know someone on the team.
We say that because we don’t have billboards or bus stop ads or marketing that is after anyone who has a pulse.
While there isn’t necessarily anything wrong with mass marketing, it isn’t how we have built our business or found our clients.
This page on the site talks about how we approach real estate and as it says, it boils down to a very simple concept.
Provide valuable information, help when we’re asked to help, do exceptional work.
Our team works with people because they know us, they trust us and they need real estate help.
The last part of that equation means we often keep in touch with people for years before they actually need to buy or sell real estate. We love those relationships because it gives people time to get to know us and to trust us.
We accomplish those two things by following a system that shows we’re reliable, knowledgeable and the sort of people you want to work with for your real estate needs. There’s a nice synergy that happens when we do that, as we establish trust with good people and we find that good people tend to know other good people!
If you don’t know us that well yet, let’s take a peak behind the curtains to show you what we do to build trust with our clients and future clients.
We don’t like to brag, but we’re quite goodly with the wordings.
With over 31 collective years of real estate experience on the team, we have seen a lot. Some good, some bad and some things you wouldn’t believe us if we told you.
Since 2016, we’ve written about what we’re seeing in real estate every week. We’ve got over 300 articles on the site now, covering topics including buying, selling, financing, renovating, renting, condos, houses, legislation, investing and much more.
The articles we send out to our list of past clients and friends each week are always topical, original and honest. We talk about what we’re seeing in our work with clients and we offer insights. It’s never just a reposting of a story written by someone else or generic nonsense about latest design trends.
These articles are how we show our clients and prospective clients that we know what we’re talking about when it comes to real estate.
Here’s where you’ll find all of our articles. Choose a category to see all the articles written about that category, or scroll down and pick one with a topic you like.
Analyze this!
As members of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board, we have access to all of the MLS sales data for not just Toronto, but also Peel, Halton, York, Durham, Simcoe and Dufferin.
Data without context isn’t helpful, and every month we take the latest dataset and we analyze it. We answer three questions for each of the markets within the GTA.
- What happened in the past month?
- How did it feel if you were buying or selling in the past month?
- What’s coming next month?
We work with clients throughout Toronto and all of the GTA and the only way we’re able to do that is by understanding a deep level what is happening in those markets. We love stats and knowing what’s happening the various markets and this is where we show you we know your market.
Check out the stats for any market you’re interested in by selecting it here or from the pull down menu under Market at the top of the page.
Egad, someone mailed me something other than a bill!
In addition to sharing our thoughts on what we’re seeing with clients and the latest market analyses, we also like to go old school and drop something in the mail a few times a year.
Whether it’s a couple of tickets to the Home Show, an invitation to an event or something specific to your home, we only mail things of value to our people. No packets of seeds in the spring or bragging about our latest deals – just things you’d actually want to receive.
For those clients or friends who like paper versions, we also send a monthly summary of our recent articles and what we’ve been seeing in the market. If you get 1,800 emails a day, this might be right up your alley!
Speaking of talking.
When it makes sense, we also like to make some calls to our people. Whether it’s an upcoming purchase anniversary, an opportunity in your market or simply to touch base, we like to actually pick up the phone and say hi. It’s almost as if we’re actually interested in staying in touch!
We do all of the above to accomplish three things. We want you to know how we approach real estate and who we are, we want you to trust us and feel comfortable introducing us to people you like, and we want to help when you need it.
If that sounds appealing, then you can sign up here. If you have any questions that you want answered right away, you can also get in touch with us here. Either way, we look forward to talking!
